The mimicry of the Italic gray partridges is remarkable, but thanks to the radio collars applied to some individuals we are able to monitor their movements even in the middle of the plowed fields of the Mezzano. As is known, in fact, 40 partridges were equipped with a radio transmitter that allows the technicians of Federcaccia and Ispra to constantly monitor the fate of individuals in nature, the use of habitat, environmental preferences and the delicate phase of reproduction of individuals who will be able to overcome this first winter season in freedom.
