In the Mezzano Valley, the first phase of spring monitoring of potential breeding pairs of Italian partridge (Perdix perdix italica) through the playback technique has just been completed.
This detection technique consists in traveling a few transepts by car at dawn, when the animals are more receptive, emitting the call of the male in the direction of the four cardinal points and subsequently listening to the response of any males present in the area. In fact, they respond annoyed by the presence of a potential competitor.
