The releases at Mezzano continue: with yesterday’s release we are at 3,250 individuals of Perdix perdix italica out of a total of 9,000 expected for this season, which will end at the end of September.
The monitoring started at the end of July also continues, those aimed at quantifying the reproductive success of the first season: the conditions are now optimal, because the newborns are older, they have reached the aptitude to fly and the climatic conditions are less extreme. It should be noted that, in order not to overlap the count of newborns in the Mezzano with the new entries, the monitoring in this period is carried out at least 1 km away from the open-air enclosures.
