As a happy holiday season, we are sharing exclusive images of the recent monitoring activities carried out in the Mezzano Valley.
During a field trip in November, we managed to film a partridge with a red ring. This detail reveals to us that this individual comes from the group of 80 overnight stays with whom, in 2022, we introduced the adoption technique on an experimental basis.
Adults, already integrated into the environment, have proven capable of transmitting essential knowledge to young stayers, allowing them to quickly learn the skills needed to find shelter and locate food sources.
This synergy has significantly increased the success rate in the survival of this species.
