In Bieri we have built some boxes inside the aviaries, to facilitate and anticipate the pre-accumulation of the sleeping birds with the “inside-out” method.
These boxes, in fact, allow the starlings to be transferred from the brooders to the aviaries immediately after the heat lamps have been turned off, i.e. on their thirtieth day of life.
The young gray partridges can freely leave and return from the box before being transferred to the pre-accumulation aviaries at the age of 45 days.
