The construction of the remaining 10 fences envisaged by our project has started at Mezzano. In this way we will complete the objective of action C3 which provided for 18 open-air structures to facilitate the reintroduction of the Italian gray partridge in the wild.

The photos show some phases of the work that the operators and volunteers of Federcaccia and Enci are carrying out, coordinated by Daniel Tramontana, technical manager of FIdC: from the laying of the chestnut poles by means of an excavator to the positioning of the insulators on which it will be set up the electrified network.

Inside the enclosure, some small closed-air aviaries are then installed where the partridges will stay during the very first days following their entry (about 10 days).
