The LIFE Perdix project envisages the establishment of a reproductive stock of support, made up of selected but unmated partridges, which may be necessary in various situations, such as when one of the individuals of the couple does not harmonize with the chosen partner.
About ten days ago, in Bieri, the reserve stock was transferred from the pits to some specially adapted cages, in which the operators prepared a net raised from the ground as a base. This new place is certainly more comfortable for animals, especially in the cold season, as well as more practical for operational management: an excellent example of experience switched into good management practice.
