The fifth and last webinar dedicated to the French experiences on the management and conservation of the Gray Partridge was held on 16 March 2021. The report by Richard Boutellier (FDC 80) was dedicated to illustrating the activities of “Il Collettivo Starna – Ensemble, conservons la perdrix grise”, a grouping of the Federations of the Departments of hunters of Central and Northern France (Eure, Oise, Seine Maritime, Somme, Loir and Cher), which have come together to better conserve the Gray Partridge populations, thanks also to the scientific support of the Office Français de la Biodiversité (OFB ex ONCFS).

The activities of the Collective are based on the conservation of wild native Gray Partridge strains and their use in restocking. In this webinar the numerous participants asked the French technician several very interesting questions.

Among these, we are pleased that Dr Francis Bunner, Senior Conservation Scientist of GWCT (UK) and coordinator of the INTERREG “PARTRIDGE” project took part, thus starting the planned networking activity with the other European project currently underway on the Gray Partridge.
